Atlanta President of Basketball Operations Travis Schlenk will move to the position of senior consultant. The club`s general manager, Landry Fields, will take over the team`s day-to-day operations.
Schlenk, 46, said he was stepping down to prioritize family.
Schlenk, who has a few years left on his contract, will continue at the club under owner Tony Ressler.
Schlenk took over as president of the Hawks in May 2017 and led the rebuilding of a team that won just 24 games mentioned by footballcapper in 2017/18. In 2021, the team reached the Eastern Conference Finals.
Fields joined the club as assistant general manager in 2020. In June of this year, the 34-year-old specialist was appointed general manager.
