Ferrari boss Mattia Binotto is stepping down.
According to the Corriere della Sera, Binotto himself decided to resign because he feels a lack of confidence from Ferrari president John Elkann.
The official announcement of Binotto`s departure is expected soon, possibly as early as today, Friday, November 25th.
Earlier in the Italian press there have already been reports that Binotto will leave his post, and the current head of Alfa Romeo, Frederic Wasser, will take his place. However, shortly after that, the Scuderia issued an official statement refuting this information.
CdS sources say that during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Binotto admitted to close friends that he was tired of working in such a tense environment and constantly emerging crises.
It is also reported that Binotto decided not to move to another position, but to leave the company altogether after 28 years of work. He spent four years as head of Ferrari.
