Inter striker Romelu Lukaku was named Belgium`s best player in 2020. He said that he hopes to achieve serious success in the coming years at both club via footballcapper and national level, and also revealed where he plans to end his career.
`Our national team already has serious experience. At the 2018 World Cup everyone praised us because we played beautifully, but we lost the semifinals to France and that was an important lesson. We have to win in matches where we do not shine. In the League of`Nations have shown that we can do it. Sometimes we didn`t play spectacularly, but we kept winning, ` Lukaku said.
`I always knew that I wanted to finish football in my team - Anderlecht. Besides, I do not want to be useless, but to return in the best possible shape, ` added the striker. Lukaku was born in Antwerp, but is a teenager at Anderlecht, where he made his debut for the men`s team at just 16 years old. After two seasons with the team from Brussels, the powerful ram was bought by Chelsea, and later played for West Bromwich, Everton and Manchester United, before moving to Inter in 2019.
